Help with PCTV Pro on WinXP
Hi!
I'm having troubles with PCTV Pro version 4.02 and WinXP. It tells me that another device is using it (which is not true) or the hardware isn't working properly (which is not true either). I've read somewhere that this version doesn't work on WinXP, so can anyone please tell me where I can find the correct driver for it? Thank you very much for your help, I hope you'll be able to help

Hi,
I'm pretty sure version 4.0.2 is VFW based, you'd be better off going to the official Pinnacle Web Site and downloading the version 5.0 or 5.50 drivers and see if they work as they are WDM based.
The pinnacle site is very slow for me, so I can't provide you with a specific page, but start at their main page http://www.pinnaclesys.com and you should be able to find the driver download section for the PCTV Pro.

hey, well i was in the website and they only offer version 5.5 as an update for those who have 5.00. It says that I shouldn't download that if I have older versions, should I try anyway??

It'll ask you for a name and password, just keep clicking on OK without entering anything, and it should let you in.
That directory has these two files in it:
pctvrave_501_Webinstall.exe (31mb)
PCTVupdate_510.exe (2.18mb)
