donek wrote:Hello Jimmy. Thanks for the information.I have installed Klite codec, but Winfast PVR2 uses his codec (ArcSoft-mpeg2).Winfast PVR2 keep up to date and the problem with a maximum bitrate of 7000 Kbps noticed only recently. Which setting is better quality?

Hello donek,Doing a lot of tests I discovered that you are right, the ArcSoft mpeg2 codec is limiting recordings to 7000 kbps. I forwarded the issue to Leadtek service to see if there is something that can be done to overcome that issue.Winfast PVR 2 did not always use that particular codec, that's why I got confused, only the newer versions use that particular codec. Probably the version you got on original CD is working OK. This codec cannot be changed in PVR 2 (at least I did not succeed).Video Quality level should be set to maximum (7).From my tests, a CBR 5000 kbps should be enough, I sustain the theory that this is the plateau limit, not 8000 how others are saying. I think one more important factor is the signal strenght. You see, there are some recordings at 4000 kbps with a good signal that look better than a 10000 kbps recording but with a bad signal.I will keep you posted with the going of things with Leadtek!

Hello donek,I think your problem has to do with your mpeg 2 encoder installed on your computer. Just install klite codec (google for it) and your problems will be gone. But I have to warn you: the experts discovered that the plateau is somewhere at 8000. That means if you record at 9000 the quality results would be the same as if you recorded with 8000 (even if the file is bigger). Good luck!FYI, here are some links:http://www.mediachance.com/dvdlab/tutorial/bitrate.htmlhttp://www.digitalfaq.com/guides/video/ … apture.htm

At the beginning sorry for my English.I have a problem with recording. The program does not want to record (CBR, mpeg2) with higher bitrate than 7000. Set the bitrate to 10000 gives nothing, the program will continue recording bitrate 7000.

I think you should use HVR-4000 Card. It cost is about £17.49 which is lowest price. It will tune into both DVB-S and DVB-S2 flavours of digital satellite, plus DVB-T (digital terrestrial). And as if that impressive achievement wasn't enough, it's also compatible with analogue TV and stereo VHF/FM radio and has AV inputs.

I am looking to buy a few (2-3) dual display PCI cards that would hopefully be able to go direct to TV instead of having to buy some sort of VGA/DVI to S-Video/RCA converter. Are there any out there that are on the cheap? I'd like to be able to hook 4-6 TV's up to one computer, having 4-6 desktops (i.e. I can just split the signal 6 ways). Please ask questions as needed. Thanks a lot!

Hi,My piece of advice is work on paying off some debt, catching up on any offending accounts, and removing any inaccuracies to clear your credit record. If you really need help from any good agency, then simply search in Google to find some good agencies. I think it will work out for you because most of well knows agencies understand the importance of online presence.
